Article 1 – Organizer
The contest is organized by QUALUP SAS, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with share capital of €76,000, registered under SIRET number 47951090100016, VAT number FR17479510901, with its registered office at 42, Le Château, 71260 Lugny, France (the “Organizer”), publisher of the Split3r software.
Entry is free. No additional purchase is required.
Article 2 – Purpose and duration
The Organizer runs a permanent contest rewarding, each month, the best 3D-printed project split or modified with Split3r.
- The contest opens as soon as this page is published. The first round runs from the opening until November 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm (Paris time).
- Afterwards, each calendar month, from the 1st at 00:00 to the last day at 11:59 pm (Paris time), is a separate round.
- The contest runs until further notice. The Organizer may end it at any time with one month’s notice published on www.split3r.com; the round in progress is completed.
Article 3 – Eligibility
The contest is open to any individual of legal age, regardless of country of residence, who holds a valid Split3r license, whether obtained through the Kickstarter campaign or purchased afterwards.
Jury members and their family members are not eligible.
Each participant may submit one project per month. The project must have been split or modified with Split3r. Projects completed before the contest opens are accepted. A project may be submitted only once: a project that did not win is not carried over to the following month and cannot be submitted again, except in the case set out in Article 5 (a single project received in the month).
As the prize is the refund of the participant’s license, a participant may win only once. The winners of the Split3r anniversary contest may take part, but cannot be awarded the prize a second time.
Article 4 – How to enter
To enter, fill in the form on the contest page of www.split3r.com before the end of the month. The form asks for:
- 2 to 8 photos of the printed and assembled object
- 1 to 4 screenshots of the split in Split3r
- a short description: the model and where it comes from, the printer used, the number of parts, the size of the object
- the name or nickname to display if published, or the choice to remain anonymous
- the email address linked to the license
- optionally, a video link, and your ideas to improve Split3r
The participant warrants that they took the photos themselves and that they comply with the license terms of the printed 3D model.
Any incomplete entry, or one that does not comply with these rules, will not be accepted. An entry received after the end of the month counts for the following month.
Article 5 – Jury and scoring criteria
The jury is made up of the team behind the Split3r adventure: Myriam BOICHUT, Adrien JOB, Jean François JOB, Steeve BECKER, Kevin RYCKELYNCK and Philippe BOICHUT. Its composition may change; the jury of each round is the team in place at the end of that month.
Each project is scored out of 100 points:
- Final result: 20 points
- Difficulty of the split: 20 points
- Size of the object: 20 points
- Assembly quality (seams, part fit, connectors): 15 points
- Originality: 10 points
- Project presentation (photos, explanations): 10 points
- Jury’s favorite: 5 points
The final score of each project is the average of the scores given by the jury members. In the event of a tie, the jury decides between the projects concerned by majority vote. The jury’s decisions are final.
If no eligible project is received during a month, no prize is awarded for that month. If only one eligible project is received during a month, no prize is awarded for that month either: the project is carried over to the following month, where it competes with the new entries.
Article 6 – Prize
Each month, the best-scored project receives the refund of the price of its Split3r license, up to the amount actually paid.
The refund is made by the same payment method as the license purchase. The prize cannot be exchanged, transferred or converted into any other benefit.
Article 7 – Results and prize delivery
The winner of each month is notified by email within 10 days after the end of the month. The results are also published on www.split3r.com.
The winner has 15 days to reply and provide the information needed for the refund. Without a reply within this period, the prize goes to the next-ranked project of the same month.
The refund is made within 30 days of receiving this information.
Article 8 – Rights to the content
By entering, each participant grants the Organizer the free, non-exclusive right to reproduce and publish the photos, screenshots, videos and texts submitted, on the Split3r website, its social networks and its communication materials, worldwide, for a period of 5 years.
Content is published under the name or nickname provided, or anonymously if the participant has chosen so. A participant may request the removal of their content at any time by writing to support@split3r.com.
Article 9 – Personal data
The data collected (name or nickname, email address, country, license and refund information) is used only to run the contest and for the publication authorized in Article 8. It is not passed on to third parties.
The data of entries that did not win is kept for 6 months after the end of the month concerned. The data of winning entries is kept for as long as necessary for the refund and the Organizer’s legal obligations. In accordance with the GDPR, each participant has the right to access, rectify and delete their data by writing to support@split3r.com.
Article 10 – Liability, changes, governing law
The Organizer is not liable for an entry that is lost, delayed or not received, whatever the reason, nor for a temporary unavailability of the website.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend or end the contest in the event of force majeure or circumstances beyond its control. Any change to these rules is published on this page and applies from the following month.
Taking part in the contest implies full acceptance of these rules. These rules are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the contest will be submitted to the competent courts of Mâcon (71000), France.
