SCALE changes the size of the active model before splitting (match a target size or compensate material shrink).
Input: Active file (e.g., Demo-Rep.stl)
Output: New file eg. Demo-Rep-Sca.stl added to the Workzone
Scale Modes: Percentage (%), Absolute (X/Y/Z in mm), or Factor (e.g., 1.5)
Safety: Non-destructive (adds a pipeline step), you can delete the scaled file with right click
Behavior: Pre-Split setup is auto-disabled before scaling; you’ll confirm if the factor is > 20×
Tip: After scaling, make sure the scaled file is Active before continuing
You can enter a single value (uniform) or per-axis values.
Percentage: 150%
Millimeters: 855mm
Factor (unitless): 1.5 (leave unit empty)
One value only: Uniform scale (keeps proportions, no deformation)
Two values: Scales those axes independently, the unspecified axis stays unchanged
Example: X=120%, Y=130%, Z= (empty) → deform X and Y, keep Z
Three values: Independent scaling on all three axes
Example: X=120%, Y=568mm, Z=1.6 (factor)
