Scale a model before splitting

Set the finished size first, then plan the cuts for your printer.

Enter a scale value

Select the model you want to resize in Prepare, then open Scale. Use an explicit unit so the value has the intended meaning.

Three ways to enter a size

150%Make the model 1.5 times its original size.
855mmSet the entered axis to an absolute dimension.
1.5Multiply the size by 1.5. A unitless value is a factor.

The Scale controls. Include “mm” when entering a target dimension.

Control the axes

  • One value: scales uniformly and keeps the proportions.
  • Two values: changes those axes independently; the empty axis stays unchanged.
  • Three values: scales each axis independently.

You can mix units, for example X=120%, Y=568mm, Z=1.6.
